Blending the very best of the Barossa Valley, this vibrant and flavoursome GSM is a blend found in Southern Rhone that includes the acclaimed Chateauneuf-du-Pape wines. The grapes were machine-harvested in the cool of night after which they were cold-soaked, aiding in the extraction of vibrant colour and integrated tannins. The Grenache and Shiraz were then co-fermented to encourage sublime integration. Post-fermentation, the wine was allowed to mature in predominantly old American and French oaks, thus creating wine that delivers the true essence of the farmed GSM blend, a testimony to winemaking vision and the European influenced style.
A rich, vibrant and medium to full bodied wine with complex flavours of red berries, chocolate and coffee. Very fine, dusty tannins complete the wine and provide great length and persistence.
Lifted aromas of ripe red berries and plums are complemented by a sweet earthy undertone.
